FREDERICTON (CNB) - The Government of New Brunswick has reached a tentative collective agreement with the New Brunswick Teachers' Federation, which represents more than 7,500 teachers across the province.
"We are pleased to announce that we have reached a tentative agreement after more than nine months of discussions with union representatives," said Minister of Human Resources Wally Stiles.
Both parties have agreed to withhold details of the tentative agreement pending the results of a ratification vote by the union, which will take place in the next few weeks.
The present collective agreement expired on Feb. 29, 2008.
