FREDERICTON (CNB) - Residents in southern New Brunswick affected by flash flooding during post-tropical storm Hanna have until Friday, Oct. 31, to apply for disaster financial assistance. Applications must be received by this date to be considered for assistance.
Those who suffered flood damage and have not already applied for assistance should begin the claim process as soon as possible by contacting the disaster financial assistance office, 1-800-561-4034 (toll free).
Advance payments of up to $4,000 continue to be available to those with immediate financial needs. Advance payments must be used for health and safety measures or urgently needed repairs that will speed re-entry and re-occupation of homes or busineseses.
