FREDERICTON (CNB) - A newly designed provincial licence plate will be unveiled on New Brunswick Day, Monday, Aug. 3.
"We want to get the word out now that new plates will be coming, for those who may be considering ordering a specialty plate," said John W. Foran, minister of public safety and solicitor general. "People may replace their existing personalized plates for $29. New conservation plates will be available for $32, and regular plates with the new design will be $25. However, switching to the new plate is completely optional; motorists may keep their old plates if they prefer.
Also new, owners of seasonal or antique vehicles will now have a single licence plate for these vehicles.
The provincial government will also offer three additional options for those wishing to purchase a conservation plate.
The new licence plates will be available at all Service New Brunswick service centres on Tuesday, Aug. 4.
