MONCTON (CNB) - An investment of $300,000 will be provided for improvements to the St. Patrick's Family Centre in Moncton, Health Minister Michael Murphy announced today. Murphy made the announcement on behalf of Finance Minister Victor Boudreau, who is also minister responsible for the Regional Development Corporation.
"Ensuring that we have good recreational facilities such as the St. Patrick's Family Centre helps to improve quality of life, strengthens our communities, and helps us to work toward our goal of self-sufficiency," Murphy said.
Funding provided through the Regional Development Corporation will be used to help defray the costs of a renovation project that includes roof replacement, exterior renovations and a new family change room.
"Without the financial assistance of the Province of New Brunswick and other supporters it would be impossible for us to carry out this extensive renovation

Since 1964 the St. Patrick's Family Centre has been providing a variety of services and programs for Moncton residents, from pre-school children to senior citizens.
