NEGUAC (CNB) - A $2-million investment will be made in tourism-related projects throughout northern New Brunswick, Premier Shawn Graham announced today. Local Government Minister Carmel Robichaud and Neguac Mayor Roger Ward Jr. joined Graham for the announcement.
"The tourism industry in New Brunswick is an important part of our government's goal of self-sufficiency, and vital to economic development in our province," said Graham. "Each of the projects announced today will give visitors to our province more reasons to incorporate northern communities into their travel plans, and will encourage New Brunswickers to take a New Brunswick vacation and visit all areas of our beautiful province."
Funding provided through the three regional economic development funds under the Regional Development Corporation will be invested in various tourism-related projects throughout northern New Brunswick.

To date in 2008-09, a total of $11.5 million has been invested in tourism projects throughout northern New Brunswick.
