SAINT-QUENTIN (CNB) - An investment of $59,900 for productivity improvements and to create five jobs at Atelier Gérard Beaulieu Inc. was announced today in Saint-Quentin.
"Working with a company such as Atelier Gérard Beaulieu shows our government's commitment to economic development in Saint-Quentin and New Brunswick," said Restigouche-La Vallée MLA Burt Paulin.
Paulin was representing Business New Brunswick Minister Victor Boudreau, who is also the minister responsible for the Regional Development Corporation.
"We are putting New Brunswick on the road to self-sufficiency by investing in the Restigouche region and helping it create more employment in all regions," said Paulin.
Joining Paulin for the announcement were Saint-Quentin Mayor Robert Beaulieu and Marc Beaulieu, president of Atelier Gérard Beaulieu Inc.
"We are very grateful for this assistance from the provincial government," said Marc Beaulieu. "This funding will allow us to bring this project into our family of products. Our new product will open doors to a new market and create job opportunities for our region."
Funding provided through the Regional Development Corporation under the $50-million Northern Economic Development Fund will permit Atelier Gérard Beaulieu Inc. to buy new equipment to expand its operations into the manufacture of products for the concrete industry.
