CARAQUET (CNB) - Two Caraquet businesses will receive investments under the Northern Economic Development Fund to create seven jobs and maintain 15 others.
Business New Brunswick Minister Victor Boudreau, who is also minister responsible for the Regional Development Corporation, made the announcement today. He was joined by Wellness Culture and Sport Minister Hédard Albert and Caraquet Mayor Antoine Landry.
"By working with companies such as Trusko Inc. and The Tank Shop Inc., we are demonstrating our government's commitment to economic development in the Acadian Peninsula and New Brunswick," said Boudreau. "We are putting New Brunswick on the road to self-sufficiency by investing in the Acadian Peninsula, and helping it create more employment in all regions."
An investment of $46,175 will allow Trusko Inc. to increase production efficiencies and explore new markets, creating three jobs and maintaining 15 others.
Funding of $169,430 will permit the Tank Shop Inc. to increase production capacity, creating four jobs.
