KEDGWICK (CNB) - The provincial government is investing an additional $40,000 in an upgrading project at Salle Fatima, a multi-functional facility in Kedgwick. Premier Shawn Graham made the announcement today.
"The provincial government is proud to be an important partner in this community project for Kedgwick and the surrounding area," said Graham. "This investment will provide services for our youth and all community groups; improve the quality of their lives; and help New Brunswick keep more of its children here,"
Joining Graham for the announcement was Raoul Leclerc, member of the Société culturelle des Hauts-Plateaux Inc.
The Regional Development Corporation is providing the funding to renovate the exterior of Salle Fatima. Today's announcement brings the Province of New Brunswick's total investment in the project to $258,000.
