FREDERICTON (CNB) - The following message is issued by Minister of State for Seniors Brian Kenny in recognition of Remembrance Day, Nov. 11:
There are no simple words to express the respect and profound gratitude our veterans deserve for serving our country during times of war and peace. They have performed remarkable deeds in the interests of justice, freedom and democracy, often making the supreme sacrifice to preserve the greater good.
It is with heartfelt thanks that we remember those who gave their lives during war and in peacekeeping operations around the world. Their legacy of courage and commitment is a source of inspiration and enduring pride to all New Brunswickers.
To the free world, these brave Canadian men and women will forever be heroes.
