FREDERICTON (CNB) -- The deadline to submit written briefs to the Self-Sufficiency Task Force is Friday, March 23. Submissions can be made electronically using the Task Force website at http://www.gnb.ca/2026.
The website also includes a discussion forum and an online survey. People can answer the survey questions or participate in the discussion forum until Friday, March 30. More than 800 people have already responded to the survey questions.
"Please take the time to give us your thoughts about the future of our province and make a submission," task force co-chair Gilles LePage said. "As well, take a few minutes and fill out our online survey and help us understand where New Brunswickers stand on the challenges and options we face as we move towards self-sufficiency."
In January 2007, Premier Shawn Graham launched the Self-Sufficiency Task Force. Co-chairs Francis McGuire and Gilles Lepage were tasked with developing a plan to take self-sufficiency from conception to reality.
The task force's final report, which will combine the information gathered through meetings, formal submissions and online discussions, and the ideas the co-chairs have raised in the previous three discussion papers, will be released in April.
