ST. ANDREWS (CNB) - The two-day annual meeting of the Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC) wraps up today in St. Andrews. It was preceded by a meeting of deputy ministers of tourism from the provinces and territories.
"It gives me great pleasure to welcome both the CTC and the provincial deputy ministers of tourism to St. Andrews," said Hédard Albert, acting minister of tourism and parks. "I thank them for choosing New Brunswick, and I encourage them to return and to experience other corners of our great province."
The CTC board of directors is comprised of tourism industry executives from across Canada, with regional representation from all provinces and territories. The meeting consisted of roundtable discussions on diverse subjects, including regional, provincial and national tourism priorities.
"We are always pleased to host our tourism colleagues here in New Brunswick," said Albert. "We work closely with our Canadian counterparts to share best practices. With the recent launch of our new tourism strategy, we have a great deal to discuss from a New Brunswick perspective."
