FREDERICTON (CNB) - Eight of New Brunswick's 10 provincial parks will open on Friday, May 21, for the 2010 summer camping season - in time for the Victoria Day weekend.
Mount Carleton will open on Friday, May 14; and Parlee Beach will open on May 29.
"We are very excited and optimistic for this summer's tourism season, which is just around the corner," said Hédard Albert, acting minister of tourism and parks. "Each of our parks offers a unique experience for New Brunswickers and visitors alike. I encourage everyone to visit our provincial parks to take advantage of all that New Brunswick has to offer."
The Mactaquac Golf Course opened last Friday, April 23, and conditions are at their best for the opening week. The Herring Cove Golf Course also opened last Friday, and it is excellent condition following a mild winter.
