PONT-LAFRANCE (CNB) - Motorists are advised that the Tracadie River # 2 Bridge on Route 370 in Pont-Lafrance will be fully closed from 8 a.m. on Monday, July 27, to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28. Motorists are advised to take Route 370 and Route 11 as alternates.
The bridge will be re-opened to one lane on the evening of Tuesday, July 28. Construction is scheduled until Sept. 25.
The Department of Transportation is undertaking significant repairs to the concrete beam structure, built in 1975.
In June, Transportation Minister Denis Landry announced an investment of more than $355,000 to do a complete rehabilitation of the bridge deck, replace the expansion joints and repave the road surface.
The department apologizes for any inconvenience and reminds motorists to reduce their speed and be aware of workers in construction zones.
