VAL d'AMOUR (CNB) - Val d'Amour Road will be closed for three days beginning at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13, because of construction. The road is scheduled to reopen at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15.
Detour signs will be posted. The suggested alternate route is from Chemin des Érables toward McKendrick on Route 275. Emergency first-responders and school district officials have been informed.
"Department of Transportation crews from Tide Head will be replacing a wooden culvert that is under the roadway," said Transportation Minister Denis Landry. "When that is removed, the crews will install two culverts and complete other measures so that fish may pass underneath."
The value of this project is more than $55,000 and is being funded from the department's 2009-10 capital budget.
