BAYSWATER (CNB) - The Milkish Inlet #1 covered bridge on Route 845 in Bayswater will be closed during the next three weeks for repairs, weather permitting. Detour signs will be in place.
"Crews from the Department of Transportation will start work today on a $45,000-project to replace the wood deck on this historical covered bridge," said Transportation Minister Denis Landry. "The project will ensure that this bridge continues to serve as part of our provincial infrastructure."
The Milkish Inlet #1 bridge is a two-span structure built in 1920. It carries traffic on Route 845 across Milkish Creek in Bayswater on the Kingston Peninsula.
The Department of Transportation apologizes for any inconvenience.
