FREDERICTON (CNB) - The Penniac Bridge (Nashwaak River Bridge #3) will be closed for repairs for about six weeks starting Monday, May 10. Motorists are encouraged to use Route 8 and Route 628 (River Street in Marysville) as alternates.

Department of Transportation crews will be replacing the wooden bridge deck and approaches as well as upgrading the wearing surface. The bridge was built in 1964.
Funding is from the Department of Transportation's $439.3-million capital budget for 2010-11.
