FREDERICTON (CNB) - Applications for three arts-related programs are now being accepted, Wellness, Culture and Sport Minister Hédard Albert announced today.
The programs are the Arts Festival; Partnership for Community Cultural Activities; and the Presentation by Invitation for Non-Professional Artists Program.
The Arts Festival Program provides grants to assist in covering some of the costs to present professional events in performing arts, literary arts, crafts, films and videos that have a national and international scope. Recipients are offered a grant of up to 75 per cent of the eligible costs, to a maximum of $10,000. Applications and all required support materials for arts festivals occurring within the fiscal year of April 1 to March 31 must be postmarked no later than April 15.
The Partnership for Community Cultural Activities Program is available to arts and cultural organizations that wish to attract a more diverse audience, contributing to a more vibrant arts community in New Brunswick in terms of creativity and cultural action. Recipients are offered a grant of up to 75 per cent of the eligible costs, to a maximum of $5,000.
Applications must meet one of the following two deadlines:
The Presentation by Invitation for Non-Professional Artists Program provides grants to assist non-professional artists and arts groups to perform or show their works at out-of-province arts festivals, competitions, and exhibitions. Recipients are offered a grant of up to 50 per cent of their total eligible travel expenses to a maximum of $3,000 for individuals and of $6,000 for groups. There are no deadlines for this program.
