From January to September 2007, the Commission on Post-Secondary Education in
New Brunswick has been an ideal forum to discuss ways to meet the post-secondary
education challenges in the province.
Its mandate was to look into all aspects of post-secondary education in order to make recommendations on the future direction of this sector.
To achieve this, the commission:
- gathered and summarized data relevant to a broad range of post-secondary education and training issues in the province;
- wrote and released a discussion paper that served as a starting point for consultations;
- consulted with students, post-secondary education stakeholders and the public;
- examined the findings and recommendations from other provincial commissions, and
- considered best practices throughout Canada and elsewhere in the world.
