Select Committee on Wood Supply

The report of the Select Committee on Wood Supply has been tabled by Committee Chair Kirk MacDonald (MLA, Mactaquac).

“This report is the culmination of unprecedented input from the public and the dedicated effort of the committee members,” MacDonald said. “The Committee recommends a ‘go-forward’ strategy, managing for a forest of greater diversity, with greater benefits for the people of New Brunswick.”

The 12-member committee began its meetings in October 2003. Its deliberations carried over eight months, including 13 public hearings in seven communities across the province.
