A. GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The principal responsibility of the department is to provide effective and efficient services within government. The mission of the department is quality products and services to government and the public.
B. MANDATE/PROGRAM SYNOPSIS:
Purchasing (central purchasing, central tendering, central stores, printing services, and postal services)
Provincial Archives of New Brunswick
Design and Construction
Facilities Management (e.g., leasing buildings)
Property Management (Industrial Parks in St. Andrews, Scoudouc and Minto; the Algonquin; operation of Old Government House)
Corporate Information Management Services
C. PROGRAMS, POLICIES OR INITIATIVES IDENTIFIED BY THE DEPARTMENT AS IMPACTING ON WELLNESS:
Facilities Management _ responsible for leasing "healthy" buildings
Design and Construction - provide technical advice to schools and hospitals (e.g., air quality, etc.)
School capital budget for next 4 years to ensure safer, healthy schools, and continued investment in the physical plant and infrastructure of schools.
