An Act to Repeal An Act to Establish "The Jordan Memorial Sanitarium" and the Jordan Memorial Home Act
Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, enacts as follows:
1All rights, powers, real and personal property, duties, responsibilities and liabilities of Jordan Memorial Home are, without further action, transferred to, vested in, and may be exercised, dealt with, disposed of or discharged by, the Minister of Health and Community Services.
2The appointments of persons as members of the board of directors of Jordan Memorial Home are revoked.
3No action, application or other proceeding lies or shall be instituted against the Minister of Health and Community Services or the Crown in right of the Province as a result of the revocation of appointments under section 2.
4Jordan Memorial Home is dissolved.
5Any reference to the board of directors of Jordan Memorial Home or to members of the board of directors or to Jordan Memorial Home in any Act of the Legislature other than this Act, in any regulation under an Act of the Legislature or in any other instrument or document shall be read as a reference to the Minister of Health and Community Services, unless the context otherwise requires.
6No action for damages or other relief shall be brought against the Crown in right of the Province in respect of its ceasing to operate or its dissolution of Jordan Memorial Home.
7Paragraph 4(1)(d) of New Brunswick Regulation 93-137 under the Civil Service Act is repealed.
8Paragraph 3(i) of New Brunswick Regulation 84-230 under the Civil Service Act is amended by striking out "Jordan Memorial Home,".
9Part I of the First Schedule of the Public Service Labour Relations Act, chapter P-25 of the Revised Statutes, 1973, is amended by deleting "Jordan Memorial Home".
10Schedule A of New Brunswick Regulation 84-105 under the Public Service Superannuation Act is amended by striking out "Jordan Memorial Home".
11An Act to Establish "The Jordan Memorial Sanitarium", Chapter 13 of 1 George V, (1911), is repealed.
12The Jordan Memorial Home Act, chapter J-0.1 of the Acts of New Brunswick, 1986, is repealed.
13This Act or any provision of it comes into force on a day or days to be fixed by proclamation.
