An Act to Amend the Beaverbrook Auditorium Act
Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, enacts as follows:
1 Section 1 of the English version of the Beaverbrook Auditorium Act, chapter B-2 of the Revised Statutes, 1973, is amended in the definition "Auditorium" by striking out "The Beaverbrook Auditorium" and substituting "the Beaverbrook Auditorium".
2 Section 3 of the Act is amended by striking out ", and in furtherance of such objects to erect, operate and manage the Auditorium".
3 Subsection 4(1) of the Act is amended by striking out "of the Auditorium" and substituting "of the property of The Beaverbrook Auditorium".
4 Subsection 5(1) of the English version of the Act is amended by striking out "the Beaverbrook Auditorium" and substituting "The Beaverbrook Auditorium".
5 Subsection 6(1) of the Act is amended
(a) by repealing paragraph (d);
(b) by repealing subparagraph (f)(v) and substituting the following:
(v) the conduct and management of the affairs of The Beaverbrook Auditorium.
6 The Act is amended by adding after section 6 the following:
6.1 Notwithstanding any other provision of this Act, the Board of Governors may sell the Auditorium and the lands associated with it.
7 The Act is amended by adding after section 9 the following:
10 The sale and conveyance of the property in The City of Fredericton described in the deed from The Beaverbrook Auditorium as grantor to Fredericton Playhouse Inc. as grantee, dated June 29, 2000, and registered in the York County Registry Office on July 4, 2000, in Book 2236, at Pages 511-516, as Number 11162352 is ratified and confirmed, and the property is thereby absolutely freed, released, acquitted and discharged from all trusts and conditions created by this Act.
8 Section 6 of this Act shall be deemed to have come into force on June 30, 2000.
