Kim MacPherson was appointed Auditor General of New Brunswick effective December 1, 2010, for a ten-year term.

Kim comes to the position of Auditor General following an extensive career with the government of New Brunswick. Kim served as Comptroller from 2006 - 2010. Prior to that, Kim worked for ten years with the Department of Finance in the Budget and Financial Management Division. Kim has also worked for the NB Extra-Mural Hospital, Office of the Auditor General and Thorne Riddell Chartered Accountants.

Kim is currently on the council of the New Brunswick Institute of Chartered Accountants and has recently completed a three year term on the Public Sector Accounting Board of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Kim is a long time resident of Fredericton, married with three children and is a graduate of the University of New Brunswick.
