Recovery Program – Spring Flood - 2009
The Province has established a Flood Recovery Program for victims of recent flooding caused by ice jams in various regions of the Province, including the Miramichi, Restigouche and St. John rivers and tributaries.
The program enables people to receive information, register flood-related damage, and receive applications for financial assistance.

Mitigation Measures
Certain repairs and rebuilding measures may reduce vulnerability to future flood damage. The value of enhancements eligible is limited to 15% of the estimated cost of repair to pre-disaster condition. Funds for mitigation efforts will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
