Dr. Rudra Singh1 and Lynn Moore2

Abstract: Tubers infected with a number of common potato viruses were produced for ten new potato varieties under both greenhouse and field conditions. Virus treatments included PVA, PLRV, PVM, PVX, PVS, PVX and PVS, PVY plus PVX and PVY. The varieties tested were Estima, Goldrush, Krantz, Morene, Morning Gold, Penta, Russet Norkotah, Santé, Shepody and Snowden. Infected tubers were planted the following year in the field. Infection was verified using ELISA and symptom development noted during the growing season.
