Abstract:A seeding rate study was established at Killoween (Carleton county) using Barspectra Westerwold rye-grass at seeding rates of 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 kg/ha. Seed yields range from 326, 384, 354, 359 and 370 kg/ha at seeding rates of 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 kg/ha respectively without any significant difference. Seed germination improved as the seeding rate increased with a significant difference between the three highest seeding rates compared to the two lowest seeding rates.
