Abstract: In 2004, data was collected from a silage corn trial and a grain corn trial in Sussex, New Brunswick. A silage corn trial, consisting of 42 hybrids, was established on the 20th day of May, 2004. Silage corn dry matter yields ranged from 5.44 to 10.20 tons/hectare. Lowest and highest yielding hybrids were 2365 RR (Pickseed) and 60T06 (CO-OP) respectively. A grain corn trial, consisting of 31 hybrids, was also established on the 20th day of May, 2004. Grain corn dry matter yields ranged from 3.88 to 6.66 tons/hectare. Lowest and highest yielding hybrids were G-4017 (CO-OP) and 39F59 (Pioneer), respectively. Data from these trials are used to recommend hybrids for registration and to recommend hybrids for commercial production in New Brunswick. New silage hybrids put forward for recommendation are 39T70 (Pioneer) and 46T06 (Co-op). Hybrids 39R34, 39T68, and 39G12 were taken off the recommendation list. Newly recommended Grain Hybrids are MZ130 (Maizex), SliEx Bt (Pickseed), 2365RR (Pickseed), and 30T70 (Pioneer). Hybrid 39R34 was taken off the recommendation list.
