"Our slogan, 'New Brunswick Seafood: What a Catch!', and our new logo will become easily identifiable around the world," Graham told the crowd of New Brunswick processors and international buyers gathered at a reception hosted by the Province. "New Brunswick is synonymous with freshness and excellence, and we believe our new materials can better convey that message to the world. This is another step in our efforts to build an industry that is that is strong and self-sufficient."

"Over the last year, our department has consulted extensively with the industry, and the need for further marketing of New Brunswick products was strongly emphasized," Doucet said. "This new look is just the beginning of our efforts to highlight the industries. In the coming months we will outline further marketing support for our provincial companies."

The premier and ministers are in Boston this week for the International Boston Seafood Show, the largest industry exhibition in North America.

Over three days, they will have private meetings with several businesses, as well as delegations from Korea, Russia and China.

"The exhibitors at the New Brunswick pavilion have received great feedback from the buyers, brokers and traders they have met since the show opened yesterday," Ouellette said. "It was encouraging to see new business opportunities developing at the show, and I am confident they will garner sales for our province."

The exhibiting New Brunswick companies include: Gourmet Chef Packers Ltd., Shediac; True North Salmon Company Ltd., St. George; and Darro Seafood, Memramcook. The Department of Fisheries also has an information booth to provide buyers with details on New Brunswick's fishing and aquaculture industries.

The International Boston Seafood Show is considered to be the premier seafood trade show in North America. Exhibitors from 50 countries attend the event, and visitors from around the world include buyers from leading restaurants, hotels, resorts, institutions, seafood markets and supermarkets, as well as distributors/wholesalers, processors, importers, exporters, brokers and traders.
