Village Historique Acadien to appear on CapTV (10/07/14)

NB 1196

July 14, 2010

RIVIÈRE-DU-NORD (CNB) - Videos of the Village Historique Acadien (VHA) can now be viewed on the website CapAcadie, via CapTV.

The VHA has its own channel, with four videos. Promotional videos of the musical dinner theatre at the Hôtel Château Albert with the group B3 and Dominique Breau are accessible, as well as the visit to the historic site by the winners of the Klipcom contest. The lip dub video recorded on June 10 is also available. Over time the VHA will add other videos to its channel.

The management of the VHA is pleased with this presence on CapTV, since it will make it possible to approach the francophone public, whereas Youtube targets a more anglophone market.

The purpose of a channel on CapTV is to have a portal for all VHA videos in the same place.

CapAcadie offers a local interactive platform for information, expression and promotion that is simple to use for francophone Internet users in Atlantic Canada.

Open since 1977, the VHA strives to portray the lives of Acadians between 1770 and 1949. More than 40 original buildings are staffed by interpreters in period costume who bring the ancestral customs and traditional trades back to life.
