- Data purpose: To show the former limits of incorporated cities, towns, villages and rural communities. These boundaries are no longer in effect as of January 1, 2023.
- Data description: Municipal polygons are a graphical representation of the former municipal boundaries as defined in the Municipalities Regulation - Municipalities Act and have an associated place name attribute. These boundaries are no longer in effect as of January 1, 2023.
- Update requirements: On an ad hoc basis as boundaries change
- Restriction on use: Unrestricted
