Due to the forecasted rain and high winds, all New Brunswick Day activities, including the opening ceremony, will now take place indoors at the E. & P. Sénéchal Centre, located at 60 Ouellette Street, Grand Falls.
Overview
New Brunswick Day is an opportunity to celebrate the province’s history, culture and people, with activities for residents and visitors of all ages.
The Grand Falls Regional Municipality was selected to host the 2026 New Brunswick Day celebrations on Monday, August 3, 2026, following a call for proposals.
As the host community of the official New Brunswick Day celebrations, the municipality will receive $30,000 to support the event.

Schedule
1:00 p.m. – Official ceremony and flag raising
2:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. – Community and family activities, along with amateur performers
4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. – BBQ and cake
6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. – Amateur performers
7:00 p.m. – Jean-Guy Dominique music group
8:30 p.m. – Big Shiny Maple
10:00 p.m. – Light show on Broadway
