Highlights from past events
2025: A lot of smart young people from New Brunswick gathered at the Fredericton Convention Centre on April 2, 2025 for the annual STEM Showcase, where students shared their work in science, technology, engineering, and math in a fun and exciting way.
Ryan Jones, who helps students learn about math and science for the Department of Education, said, "It was a great day; it went even better than we expected." He worked closely with Winnie Hsu and many others to make sure students had a positive experience.
“We had so much buy-in and engagement from students, and the school districts,” Jones said. “More people participated than we thought, and everyone seemed to leave feeling appreciated and excited. We challenged everyone to meet someone from a different school district, and many did — that was really meaningful."
About 130 students took part, presenting around 75 projects. There were also 25 judges and 19 booths from colleges, companies, and science groups.
