New Brunswick is committed to promoting fairness, equity, and transparency in the workplace. As part of this commitment, the province is exploring the development of a comprehensive Pay Transparency Framework. This framework aims to ensure clear and accessible disclosure of compensation practices, address systemic pay gaps, and foster inclusive and equitable employment environments. By enhancing transparency, the framework will help prevent unjustified pay disparities and improve workplace equity across sectors.
This consultation seeks to hear from employers, employees, advocacy groups, business organizations, human resource professionals, unions, and all New Brunswickers interested in shaping fair pay practices.
By gathering your input, we aim to:

Pay transparency involves practices that promote openness about employee compensation, such as publishing salary ranges in job postings, disclosing pay gap data, and protecting employees’ rights to discuss wages without fear of retaliation.
