DOAKTOWN (GNB) – Five more people are being invested into the Order of New Brunswick.

“I’m extremely proud to announce the recipients of the Order of New Brunswick, the province's highest honour,” said Premier Susan Holt. “Each of these New Brunswickers has dedicated their life to making a difference in their communities and, in their own unique way, has made our province what it is today.”

The 2025 inductees are:

•           William Lloyd Hoyt of Fredericton, for his outstanding achievements and lasting contributions to law, justice, world peace and community development, which have had a profound impact locally, nationally and internationally.

•           Richard (Rick) Hutchins of Grand Lake, for his remarkable accomplishments, as well as his dedication and service to his community. His work in the fields of community development, music, education and sustainability inspires New Brunswickers and contributes to the growth of the province.

•           Dr. Rodney Ouellette of Dieppe, in recognition of his outstanding contribution in the field of cancer research, his dedication to patient care and his invaluable contribution to the province’s scientific community.

•           Danielle Pelletier of Fredericton, for her exceptional dedication to preschool children with autism spectrum disorder and their families. This honour highlights her visionary leadership, compassion and commitment to building a better future for generations to come.

•           Cherrill Edwina Shea of Saint John, for her pioneering career, unwavering support of education and human rights, and her devotion to her province.

The Order of New Brunswick was established to honour individuals who have demonstrated excellence and distinguished themselves through achievements in their field. Since 2001, 215 people have been invested with the order for their dedication and service to the province, its people and communities.

The 2025 recipients will be formally invested with the Order of New Brunswick at a ceremony at Government House in Fredericton on Nov. 5.
