Premier’s Council on Disabilities

FREDERICTON (GNB) – The Premier's Council on Disabilities has announced the appointment of a new chair and new members, as well as several reappointments.
Nick Taggart of Hanwell, who was already a member, has been appointed chair for a term of two years.
"I am incredibly eager to continue working alongside the returning members and to welcome our new colleagues," said Taggart. "The years of experience they bring will be invaluable as we work together to advance the interests of persons with a disability in our province."
The following reappointments and appointments took effect June 24:
Reappointments:
· Catherine Hall, Carleton North (Johnville district) – three-year term
· Brigitte Lapointe, Grand Falls – three-year term
· Kanza Hashmat, Fredericton – three-year term
· Connie Melanson-Savoy, Moncton – three-year term
· Kailha Winter-Smith, Capital Region Rural District (Burton district) – two-year term
New appointments:
· Roger Vienneau, Belle-Baie (Petit-Rocher Nord district) – three-year term
· Sheila Rogers, Bathurst – three-year term
· Randy Dickinson, Fredericton – two-year term
· Emilie Haché, Shippagan (Inkerman district) – three-year term
· Victoria Scott, Quispamsis – two-year term
· Ysabelle Vautour, Fredericton – two-year term
"We are thrilled to welcome our new members to the council," said executive director Christyne Allain. “Their diverse backgrounds and perspectives will be a tremendous asset as we continue our important work. We look forward to their contributions and collaboration in the years to come.”
