Flynn claims silver and second Team New Brunswick medal at Canada Games

ST. JOHN’S (GNB) – Fredericton’s Molly Flynn won a silver medal in the women’s road race cycling event Wednesday at the 2025 Canada Summer Games in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador.

ST. JOHN’S (GNB) – Fredericton’s Molly Flynn won a silver medal in the women’s road race cycling event Wednesday at the 2025 Canada Summer Games in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador.

Flynn’s medal win is Team New Brunswick’s second medal of the Canada Summer Games. Zachary Newman, of Bathurst, won a bronze medal in the men’s 50-metre breaststroke event earlier this week to claim the team’s first medal.

Flynn’s cycling teammates Laurence Arseneau placed 12th with Émilie McIntyre and Mikaya Hoyt-Hogan finishing in 15th and 21st sports respectively in the women’s event for Team New Brunswick. Earlier in the day, Maxime Ouellette, William Banfield, Liam Moores finished 15th, 18th and 40th respectively in the men’s event. Colby Sirois didn’t finish the race.

Both women’s and men’s rugby sevens teams finished their competition Wednesday, finishing sixth and eighth respectively.
