Two new gold medals for Team New Brunswick

Team New Brunswick claimed two gold medals in track and field Friday at the 2025 Canada Summer Games in St. John’s.

ST. JOHN’S (GNB) Team New Brunswick claimed two gold medals in track and field Friday at the 2025 Canada Summer Games in St. John’s.

Riverview’s Dante Cormier captured gold in the men’s 100 metre wheelchair event and Shelby MacIsaac, also of Riverview, won gold in the women’s 400-metre hurdles.

Friday’s double-medal performance on the track and field lifts Team New Brunswick’s total to nine: three gold, three silver and three bronze medals. 

Cormier’s gold medal performance makes it his second medal of the Games. He

captured silver in the men’s 1,500 metre wheelchair event Tuesday.
