Two new medals for Team New Brunswick

ST. JOHN’S (GNB) Team New Brunswick claimed two medals in track and field Wednesday at the 2025 Canada Summer Games in St. John’s.

Christel Robichaud, of Grande-Digue, struck gold in the female para shot put, winning Team New Brunswick’s first gold medal of the Games. Max Mazerolle, of Richibucto, claimed silver in the men’s decathlon.

Wednesday’s double-medal performance on the track and field lifts Team New Brunswick’s total to seven: one gold, three silver and three bronze medals. 

Riverview’s Dante Cormier captured silver in the men’s 1,500 metre wheelchair and Rémi Ouellette, of Haute-Aboujagane, won bronze in the men’s para shot put Tuesday.

Last week, the team captured two cycling medals and a swimming medal.
