FREDERICTON (GNB) – The government is engaging with New Brunswickers as it prepares to update the Environmental Trust Fund.

Previous funding recipients, local leaders, environmental stakeholders and the public will have a chance to provide input to help guide the future of the fund.

“The Environmental Trust Fund supports grassroots projects with locally driven efforts aimed at protecting our water, air and environment, and which lead to lasting change for their communities,” said Environment and Climate Change Minister Gilles LePage. “In order to keep supporting these vital projects, we are looking for insight to strengthen the delivery of the program and ensure its sustainability.”

A consultation web page provides background information, an overview of the review process and an online survey. Written submissions will also be accepted until Oct. 15.
