FREDERICTON (GNB) – Nurses represented by the New Brunswick Nurses Union have voted to accept a tentative agreement reached with the government on Sept. 3.
“We are very pleased that nurses across the province have voted in favour of this new collective agreement,” said Finance and Treasury Board Minister René Legacy. “We have been listening to nurses when they tell us what’s important to them, and the negotiators on both sides worked diligently to get the deal done on an agreement that acknowledges the importance of these critical and valued employees.”
The union represents more than 9,000 registered nurses, nurse practitioners and licensed practical nurses working in hospitals, public and community health programs, Ambulance NB and extra-mural programs across the province.
Details will be shared once the agreement has been signed.
