FREDERICTON (GNB) – The government is engaging with New Brunswickers as it prepares to update the Clean Air Act.

Industry and environmental stakeholders, First Nations and the public will have a chance to provide input on creating legislation that reflects the needs and values of the province’s communities.

“Big changes start with bold ideas,” said Environment and Climate Change Minister Gilles LePage. “As we move forward with this critical legislative change, we want to hear directly from New Brunswickers. We want to ensure the updated legislation reflects a broad range of perspectives.”

There is a consultation webpage that provides background information, an overview of the review process and details on how to get involved.

Written submissions will be accepted. There will also be in-person and virtual consultation sessions where people can learn more and share feedback.
