FREDERICTON (GNB) – An inmate in the custody of the provincial correctional system has died.
Corey Bartlett, an inmate at the Madawaska Regional Correctional Centre, was transported and admitted to the Edmundston Regional Hospital on Wednesday after being seen by the correctional centre’s medical staff. He died on Thursday.
Bartlett had been remanded to custody.
This information is being released in accordance with the department's policy.
Neither foul play nor self-harm is suspected.
The RCMP and Coroner Services have been advised.
