Tentative agreement reached with employees from six bargaining groups

FREDERICTON (GNB) – The provincial government has reached a tentative agreement with employees in Part I of the public service represented by the New Brunswick Union.

Under the first “master agreement,” 11 bargaining units are combining into one. The agreement covers more than 3,500 employees under classifications such as administrative support, enforcement officers, highway supervisors, laboratory technologists, engineering and field classifications, forest rangers, conservation officers, inspectors and instructors.

The parties have agreed to withhold details of the agreement pending its ratification.
