FREDERICTON (GNB) – Communities throughout the province can now apply to be the official host community of the 2026 New Brunswick Day ceremony.
“New Brunswick’s strength lies in its many vibrant communities and people whose stories help shape our unique identity,” said Tourism, Heritage and Culture Minister Isabelle Thériault. “We want to give each region the opportunity to host New Brunswick Day and showcase their culture, heritage and spirit.”
More information about being the official host community, including eligibility criteria, is available on the department’s website. Some of the criteria to be considered include accessibility, local talent and cultural diversity.
The host community will receive a grant of up to $30,000 to go towards the planning and execution of its events.
Local governments have until June 11 to apply.
