What we do

The Department of Justice and Public Safety is responsible for keeping New Brunswickers safe and helping to ensure the impartial administration of justice. We are also responsible for overseeing emergency preparedness, delivering multiple inspections, licensing and registration programs, and for court services, correctional services and the Office of the Attorney General. We work with the judicial branch of government, police forces and with other levels of government.
