What we do

The Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour is responsible for overseeing post-secondary education and labour-related initiatives to promote economic growth and the well-being of residents.

We are also responsible for providing employment services through WorkingNB, overseeing grants and bursaries to students, administering economic immigration and settlement funding programs, managing public libraries and technical and trade certifications.

We work with post-secondary institutions, businesses and communities to encourage innovation, diversity, immigration access to international students and employment opportunities.

Land acknowledgement

We respectfully acknowledge that New Brunswick is situated on the unceded and unsurrendered territories of the Wolastoqey, Mi'gmaw, and Peskotomuhkati peoples. We seek to repair and rebuild meaningful relationships with Indigenous peoples and honour these lands which hold the hopes of future generations.
