Gender Equity Action Fund

Have an idea to advance gender equity in New Brunswick?

The Gender Equity Action Fund (GEAF) can help bring it to life. The fund supports community-led projects that promote gender equity and inclusion. Eligible organizations can apply for up to $5,000 per project or initiative.

Applications open: May 15, 2025
Applications close: August 15, 2025
Successful recipients notified by September 30, 2025.

Organizations applying for funding must:

• be a registered non-profit organization, charity, community group or post-secondary student society or club based in New Brunswick
• demonstrate a commitment to gender equity and inclusion
• submit a project proposal that will be implemented within the current fiscal year, ending March 31, 2026
• align with the fund’s preference for intersectional approaches that benefit women and/or gender-diverse individuals facing additional barriers (e.g., newcomer women and/or gender diverse people, women or gender diverse people in rural areas of the province, Francophone women and/or gender diverse people, racialized women and/or gender diverse people, senior women and/or gender diverse people, Indigenous women and Two-Spirit people, 2SLGBTQI+ people, women and/or gender diverse people with disabilities, and more)

Funding parameters and requirements for eligible applicants and projects include:

• organizations may apply for up to $5,000 per project
• funding can support new or existing projects
• successful applicants must complete reporting requirements
• the total funding will be distributed through a competitive application process
