Exhibit renewal and museum activities support program pre-application checklist

Our organization:

Is a registered non-profit organization
Is based in New Brunswick
Meets Archaeology and Heritage Branch’s definition of a “museum”[1]
Does not have any outstanding Exhibit Renewal and Museum Activities Support Program final reports for the component to which we are applying

[1] A “museum” is a “non-profit community institution which acts as a custodian to maintain, conserve, study, and interpret a permanent collection of heritage resources.” These resources may be objects or historical data. Such an organization holds its collection in trust for the public. It tries to ensure that the community derives maximum benefit from the collection it holds.

Our project:

Falls within a strategic plan for the museum in accordance with its mission and mandate
Is not receiving funding from other provincial government sources

Prior to submitting the application, we have/are:

Read through the program guidelines in their entirety
Noted the program deadline of October 31st and understand that an incomplete application will not be considered until all other applications have been reviewed and processed. Late applications may not be accepted.
Understood that all applications will be reviewed after the deadline of October 31st.
Contacted Archaeology and Heritage Branch to clarify any outstanding questions.
Completed all sections of the most current version of the application form located on the website, and included attachments when indicated.
Ensured that the proposed budget is balanced.
Included relevant quotes for any equipment/material purchases, professional/consulting fees, and fabrication contracts.
Included letters of support for any in-kind contributions which indicates the nature of the support and the dollar value.
Ensured that the request for funds does not exceed:
  • 75% of the total project costs, up to a maximum of $10,000 for projects that fall under the Exhibit Renewal and Museum Activities Support Component
  • 90% of the total project costs, up to a maximum of $5,000 for projects that fall under the Digital and Social Media Component
Ensured that the application form is signed by someone with signing authority for the organization.
Aware that only applications submitted to [email protected] will be accepted for review.
