Promotional travel assistance program

Help to cover costs associated with events where significant training opportunities and the potential for co-production agreements exist.

Program description

Funding is available to help cover expenses related to attending film, television and new media industry events, festivals or professional development workshops. This support is intended for situations with significant training opportunities and the potential for co-production agreements, where the applicant’s work has been selected for screening or has received industry recognition.

Objectives

To grow and promote the New Brunswick film, television, and new media industry while showcasing the benefits of shooting in the province to national and international markets.

Deadline

There is no deadline for this program.

Level of funding

May provide up to 50% of the total travel budget to a maximum of $2,000 per producer or production company.

Assistance may be restricted to once per fiscal year for any producer or production company.

The applicant may access funding from other agencies; however, the applicant must personally pay a minimum of 25% of the total expenditure. Only 50% of the total net cost of expenses incurred (excluding HST) will be reimbursed to a maximum of $ 2,000. It is recommended that the applicant submit a request for travel assistance a minimum of four weeks before the event.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants are New Brunswick-based producers.

Evaluation

Applications submitted to this program are evaluated according to the program objectives and criteria, including general and contextual information about the organization, the nature and quality of the work outlined in the application and potential impacts.
