Public libraries provide collections and programming relating to Indigenous cultures, languages and peoples. They also provide welcoming spaces and library services to Indigenous peoples. Public libraries actively look to partner with Indigenous organizations and communities.
The Indigenous collection includes materials written by Indigenous peoples, written in Mi’kmaq and Wolastoqiyik-Peskotomuhkati and about Indigenous issues.
